During the Events Management module I was chosen to lead a team of 8 through fundraising activities and the hosting of an event to raise money for Birmingham women’s hospital tiny babies appeal.
Before we could start fundraising we developed an events company called embrace and we worked to create a fun and colourful brand aesthetic and marketing materials that reflected the goals of the project, the charity and the team.
Embrace carried out a range of fundraising activities in order to raise funds for the main event these activities included cake sales, raffles, sponsors from banks and international companies as embrace also hosted a half term fun day event where they provided games, snacks and face painting as well as a range of other activities.
Before the Event embrace took part in a number of marketing and PR events these included PR videos, Stunts, Press releases and radio interviews and interviews with the charity.
The Event Was a success and we raised almost £2000 for Birmingham women’s Hospital
